Nowadays most homes have a central air system with connecting air ducting to move conditioned indoor air throughout the home. Over time, the air system and the connecting air ducting will accumulate dust and other contaminates, which can cause circulation of dirty and polluted indoor air through your home. Out-of-sight and out-of-mind health items that we don’t think much about are dirty air system and air ducts which could be the unhealthiest item in our home.
On the other hand there are many more air duct cleaning companies that will properly clean the air system and air ducts and use commercial negative air duct cleaning vacuums with at least 2,000 CFMs of vacuum power and utilize proper agitating tools to move the contaminates within the duct work to be captured with HEPA filters and contained by the air duct cleaning vacuum equipment.
I have used Waychoff a couple of times, they have always been prompt and very pleasant to deal with. However, my latest experience is the reason for this review. My a/c went out on Monday and, as usual, I called Waychoff. Wendall came to look at it and fix it. He told me the fan motor needed to be replaced, but I decided to wait. He was truly a joy to have in my house to fix my a/c. Well, on Tuesday, it went out again. As Wendall was off on Tuesday, I decided to wait until today for the unit to be repaired. Once again, he was a joy to have around - he is extremely personable, quick and efficient. Even the dogs loved him! Wendall is an asset to Waychoff!
"Energy is consumed by HVAC systems through a number of processes. Air is typically distributed through the ductwork via an electrically‐powered fan. Cooling coils remove heat from the air. Heating coils add heat to the air. Through normal HVAC usage, particulates in the air slowlycollects on the surfaces of various HVAC components, resulting in a gradual loss of energy efficiency. Some loss of efficiency via a single dirty component may be minor. When the loss through each component is added up, however, the impact could be considerable. Generally, the greater the buildup, the greater the energy loss. Removal of the buildup of particulate on HVAC components restores energy performance to the system."
